Blue/green Happy Birthday

flowers are from Petaloo. Happy birthday stamp is from Impressive stamps Australia. I stamped the happy birthday on card and used my sliders die with my cuttlebug. Organdie ribbon to attach the sentiment. Used a brad to attach flowers and then glued diamonte on to brad.

Stripe Happy birthday

The Happy birthday stamp is from Impressive stamps Australia. I stamped on acetate with stazon jet black ink pad. Cut out hole for message in base card then in 1st contrasting card then matching paper. The acetate is put between base card and two top layers. Gives a nice window. I kept the 2 pieces of card to mount to the left of the message and topped with CP2 fleur-di-lis punch, using two with mounting tape between them for a better effect.

The flowers are from Hot of the press citrus flowers. The large brad is also Hot of the press.

Hard to see the pale yellow paper with blue dots but it is there. I mounted the sentiment on my new die 'sliders' from cuttlebug the ribbon is organdie ribbon. The sentiment is a gold peel off.

The stamp for this card is from Impressive stamps Australia. Inked with black versa pad and embossed with clear embossing powder. I used the floral borders die in my cuttlebug to get the diamond edging. embelished with kaisercraft pearls. The sentiment is a gold peel off coloured with a permanent black sharpie. I used my Fiskars templates oval for the words. I used my Carl corner punch to round the edges.

You will need the Zoo Animals cuttlebug die 2 x 2 set of 4. It is very fiddly but well worth the effort.

A New Cutter

Today a new cutter arrived. It is produced by Birch and is intended for the Double Do machine but it works well with the Cuttlebug. I folded a piece of dark green card and placed the cutter with the cutting side up in position about halfway down the front of the card. I then placed it in the Cuttlebug machine in this order: A plate, C plate, card with cutter inside (cutting side up), B plate. After cutting I scored a line using an embossing tool and the groove from a trimmer. I then attached a piece of double sided check paper. The paper was quite stiff so it didn't need any card behind it. The green rhinestones cover the small holes that are part of the cutter design.

The background for this card was made by using the Cuttlebug Perfectly Paisley embossing folder. The diamonds were made with a Carl CP-21 square punch and double sided paper. The winged horse brad was from a packet produced by Kaiser.

Fathers day

The base card is cream. Stamp is Old Fashioned Car - L from Stamp-it. Stamped with black ink and clear embossing powder on cream card. Cut out, carefully cut out windows as well. The Happy fathers day is a gold peel off which I coloured with a black sharpie pen. Mount sentiment on cream card and cut diamond shape mount on black card and trim leaving small border. I used the Fleur-di-lis embossing folder in my cuttlebug running through twice to get the pattern horizontal. Be careful to match up the embossed image. Only run through second time till clicks, then reverse or you will flatten the previous embossed image. You need to use stencil tool to get rid of extra lines caused by running card through twice. Hope that makes sense. I used mounting tape on the car to make it stand out more.

It's a girl

Base card is white. I used the swiss dots embossing folder in my cuttlebug to emboss pink card. To fill up the whole card you have to emboss a couple of times and pop out the flattened dots. the stamps are from Impressive Stamps Australia. I individually inked the separate words of the 'It's a girl' stamp on white card, with Versa 'cinnamon' ink pad, and then used my nestabilities scalloped ovals in the cuttlebug to cut out the three words. I backed them with very textured soft paper and trimmed with scalloped edge scissors. The pram was stamped on white card with cinnamon ink versa pad. Cut and embossed with Nestablilties. I also cut and embossed the large scalloped oval in the soft pink textured paper. The ribbon is a delicate pink organza with an edge.

Baby boy card

Both stamps are from Impressive stamps Australia. The pram was stamped with Lagoon blue Versa pad on textured cream card. I used my Scalloped oval Nestabilities in my cuttlebug to cut and emboss on the cream card. The base card is an aqua colour. I also cut out and embossed a larger oval in the aqua card. The paper is odds of scrapbooking paper. The sentiment was stamped with same ink on same cream card, cut with trimmer and the edges done with the corner rounder punch from carl. I used my small oval plier punch for holes for the tag. Attached with blue organzie ribbon.

Lilac happy birthday

The flowers are from punches CP2 Sakura and CP2 5/8 circle. CP2 leaf and Whale of a punch tree. The Base card is light cream. I trimmed the lilac paper with organza ribbon before fixing onto deeper lilac card.The Happy Birthday is computer generated and chalked to match. The tag is a cuttlebug mini tag die, layer matching card behind and trim, fix with brads.

Frangipani Birthday

The Frangipani stamps are from Impressive Stamps Australia. I used the technic of Masking to make the flowers appear to be behind each other. I used Faber Castell watercolour pencil to colour.
The inside was done on separate white card cut so that it would pop out when card was opened.
The stamping was done with same stamps and technic, cutting out around the stamped images.

This stamp is an old favourite. It is a Petaluma brand. I stamped on white card with black ink, colouring with water colour pencils and edging with black ink after cutting circle. I used my fiskars templates to cut circles. The happy birthday is computer generated on white card. I used Carl punches for the happy birthday CP2 3/4 for happy birthday then CP2 7/8 for green card and CP11G 1 1/4 for tan card. The green background is the cuttlebug embossing folder spots & dots rounding the corners with carl corner rounding punch.

Tree surprize

Fiddly but fun. I used my new Nestablilties Scalloped ovals large, cut and embossed the largest and then the next size down in contrasting colours. The Tree punch is from Whale of a punch. The circle punches are Carl punches CP1 1/4, CP1 3/16 & CP1 1/8. I used three toning colours for the circles and kept the three colours going only the scalloped oval that the tree is on is a contrasting colour. The lighter card for mounting I ran through the cuttlebug with the swiss dots embossing folder and used the carl corner rounder punch on all the corners.

Country Girl

I used my Cuttlebug Perfectly Paisley embossing folder, and my brayer to ink up folder before putting in white card and running slowly and carefully through the cuttlebug machine. The girl stamp is from Impressive Stamps Australia. I stamped using black ink and clear embossing powder on white card. I cut card with my fiskars template oval and chalked the edge. I then cut the next size up in oval templates with the two colours of card trimming the middle card down. The Happy birthday is small alphabet punches.

Pastel flower

The colours are a bit distorted they are more delicate. You will need the Cuttlebug Stylized flowers embossing folder, I used my brayer with Kaleidacolor Baby Powder stamp pad and inked the folder before putting in white card and running slowly and carefully through the Cuttlebug. You will also need a plain white Stylized embossed card to trim for lone flower.

Script texture card

This card was a little time consumming but I enjoyed doing it. You will need: Script texture embossing folder for cuttlebug. I used my brayer with black ink very lightly over the embossed card. The Tag is Cuttlebugs tiny tags die I mounted on contrasting card and hand trimmed. The Happy Birthday is a peel off in gold. I used Carl Punches Circles CP1 1/4, CP2 3/4, CP2 7/8 and CP11G square. 2 small black brads hold on the happy birthday

A Flourish Card

This card was made using one of the Cuttlebug 'Organic Flourish' borders on the pink card. I then scored a line next to the flourish using an embossing tool and the cutting line of a card trimmer. The purple paper was ripped. The flowers were from a packet I bought at Big W and the purple heart brad held the flowers together then the flower was attached using double-sided sticky tape.

To make this card I used the Cuttlebug 'Divine Swirl' embossing folder on cream card for the background. The self adhesive ribbon was from the 'Old World' packet of ribbon produced by DCWV. I bought mine in Big W. The charms and brads to affix them were from a 'Making Memories' packet of eyelet charms.

Train

This card was made with the Cuttlebug die cuts. Train engine, Train car and Train caboose. The trees are Whale of a punch 'tree' and the clouds are also a punch. The grass is cut with deckle scissors. Fiddly but worth it.

Wedding Day

I was very pleased with this card the embossing on the front was done with my Cuttlebug machine and an old copper stencil that I had. To do this you will need a rubber matt which I made from purchasing Gasket rubber from Clarks Rubber, it is black rubber and very cheap I got 3 pieces 15cm x 17cm for about $4.00. The sandwich for the cuttlebug is A plate, B plate, heavy card, rubber, card to emboss on then stencil then B plate. You might have to experiment with this sandwich be careful not to have it too thick or you could break a plate. I then embossed 2 sets of lines around the image with embossing tool and the cutting line of my fiskars cutter. I trimmed the image close to the second set of embossed lines then mounted on bronze shimmer paper. I also embossed the A5 card folded in half, with the swiss dots embossing folder matching up the dots and putting it through again to get it a bit wider. You need to pop out the flattened dots with an embossing tool. I used circle punches, punching small circle first then bigger circle to get rings in Bronze shimmer paper.

Birds & Swirls

This card was made with the Birds and Swirls embossing folder in the Cuttlebug machine. Embossing on white card. It was coloured with watercolour pencils. Layer twice on matching card. It was embellished with flowers and small white brads before affixing the whole to A5 card of suitable colour folded in half.

Flowers

To make this card:

The flowers are cut with the cuttlebug using 2x6 die 'flowers'. Cut complete set in two colours, I have used a maroon & yellowy textured card. Just pop out and reassemble mixing the colours. For the flower with the tiny dots I just popped out tiny dots and put small square of other colour behind. You will need A5 card folded in half same colour as I cut for the maroon flowers. A piece of green textured card 10.5cm x 10cm. Cut the 10.5cm sides with scalloped edge scissors attach a piece of the yellowy card 10.5cm x 10.5cm behind centering card, trim along scalloped edge matching the edge with the scissors leaving a small border of the yellow showing. Attach the scalloped card about 4cm down the A5 folded maroon card. Affix the flowers the three on top are mounted on mounting tape to give a bit of dimension to the card. Finish off with a gold peel off 'Thinking of You' which I coloured maroon with a sharpie permanent pen.

Double Embossing

This card was created using a 'double embossing' technique that I saw on a YouTube video. I used the Spellbinders Nestabilities oval for the middle and the Cuttlebug Perfectly Paisley embossing folder. I followed the video almost exactly, except that I found that I only needed to use one piece of the chipboard that I had instead of the two suggested in the video. When I tried using two pieces my Cuttlebug would not take the thickness and I did not want to risk breaking the B plate.

I can't remember the name of the company that produces the flower stamp, but it was a clear stamp which I mounted on a clear, acrylic stamp block. I used gold pigment ink and a fine gold embossing powder to emboss. The little gold flower brads were placed in the middle of the paisley pattern.

Perfectly Paisley

To make this card:
I embossed pink card 13.5cm x 9cm with Perfectly paisley embossing folder in cuttlebug. the paper is from Paper Pizzaz 'Citrus' range cut piece 13.5cm x 4cm. Thin brown ribbon. Beads are from All About Beads. Kaiser scrapbook Pearls. CP11G Vinca Punch, cut two one in same colour of background card and one in another colour matching the paper. The Happy birthday is printed off my computer using Bradley Hand ITC font size 10 on white paper which I then cut with CP2 3/4 circle punch and chalked pink, attach to matching Vinca and then offset Vinca punch that is same colour as backing card. To assemble: Pink paisley card, paper, ribbon with beads threaded on. I used very thin double sided tape to fix on the ribbon and keep the beads apart also used small Zots to hold beads in place. Affix all to brown textured A5 card folded in half. attach pearls to end of paisley swirls and use mounting tape for the Happy birthday to give a lift.

Fleur-de-lis

To make this card:
CP2 Fleur-de-lis punch, punch three on white card. Kaiser scrapbook Rhinestones 'Black'. I embossed swirls on black card 13.5cm x 9.5cm with cuttlebug. The fleur-de-lis paper was some scrap I had. The silver ribbon was from discount store. I used a peel off Happy birthday in silver. The tetrahedron shape for the sentiment was made by hand cutting two the same size and then trimming the black slightly. Assembly: Black swirls card then paper 13.5cm x 4cm, ribbon, Fleur-de-lis punches, affix that to A5 white card folded in half, rhinestones next then finish with Happy Birthday using mounting tape to give a little lift.

To make this card:
Thank You stamp from Impressive Stamps Australia. I used K&Company 'Wild Saffron' die cut cardstock blue circle to mount the Thank you which I stamped on plain white card and cut out circle using my Fiskars template then chalked before mounting on blue circle. I embossed swirls with cuttlebug on blue card 13.5cm x 9cm and sanded slightly. I ripped some matching paper 13.5cm x 6.5cm diagonally. to assemble: blue swirl card, matching ripped paper, green velvet ribbon, affix that all onto green folded A5 card then top with Thank You using mounting tape to give it a bit of a lift.

Spotlight

To make this card
both stamps are from Impressive stamps Australia the Orchid is a beautiful stamp. Stamp two images of the orchid re-inking stamp between images. Cut one image into a 10cm x 8.5cm piece, this will be the main image. Cut two 1cm strips off left end, trim left side of remaining piece by 1/4cm. Mount the larger piece on dark pink card trim to leave 1/4cm border. Mount this piece to the right, on pink A5 card folded in half. Now affix the two 1cm strips to the left of the mounted image, leaving a tiny space between the two. Colour the second stamp image around the approx area needed. I used watercolour pencils and my Zig water brush fine. I used my Fiskars Templates Circles to cut a dark pink circle I then cut another circle same size around the orchid. I had to trim the orchid circle so that a small border of pink could show. Mount together and carefully place on image on card. The Greeting was stamped on velum. Trim to fit card and rip right side. Also dark pink card trim to fit and rip also on right side. Affix the dark pink card first. I used small brads to hold the velum on.

Ship Ahoy

To make this card
I used Stamp It Stamp 'Sailing Ship'. I made a mask of the stamp by stamping on paper and cutting out image to use as a mask for second image. I then inked up and stamped image on white card, cover image with mask and then stamp again to the left of the original image. Do not re-ink the stamp. This gives the nice fading image of the stamp. I coloured some of the original image. Cut the white card close to the image ready to mount on blue card embossed with cuttlebug and swirls embossing folder. Cuttlebug and embossing folder purchased from Impressive Stamps Australia. I then mounted on dark blue card.

An engagement/wedding card

To make this card:

First I embossed some cream card using the divine swirl embossing folder and the Provocraft Cuttlebug machine.
I stamped and embossed five hearts with fine gold embossing powder. The heart is a "Lucy's stamps" size C.
I cut out the hearts and arranged them on the card using double sided sticky tape then made a small hole in the centre with a fine pair of scissors and inserted the gold heart brad.
I just added the bow and used some copper coloured cardstock to layer and then placed it on cream card.

To make this card:

Using the Cuttlebug and swiss dots embossing folder, I embossed either side of a white card 9cm x 13.5cm leaving 3cm space in the middle of the card. You have to emboss twice to get the length and push out the flattened dots with an embossing tool.

To get the embossed lines, I used an embossing tool and the cutting line of my Fiskars trimmer which works well. The Happy Birthday stamp is from Impressive Stamps Australia. The butterfly is from K&Company Paper Flowers book. I used pearls to embelish the butterfly and added some antennae with beading wire. Mounted on coloured card and then mounted on white card.
